Who operates this site?
This policy applies to Petal Horror at petalhorror.com, an independent guide and play portal. It does not govern itch.io, YouTube, Google, Cloudflare, or 13-23’s own pages.
What data does the site collect?
Petal Horror does not require registration and does not ask for a name, password, payment card, or in-game profile. The hosting provider may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals to deliver and protect the site.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
Cloudflare provides cookie-free real user measurement for page performance and traffic reliability. Its automatic beacon can measure page views and browser performance through this domain. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data. This operational measurement is separate from Google Analytics and is not used for advertising.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 loads automatically and can process page views, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, referral information, and interactions configured for the site. Google signals, advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad user data are disabled in our configuration.
Browser storage
The site stores a color preference named petal-theme in local storage. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies such as _ga. The Godot game may also store its own language or progress-related browser data. The July 23 creator update states that language preference is saved. Clearing site data in your browser removes these local values.
Game files and external links
Starting the player downloads the game’s WebAssembly and PCK files. The official itch.io page, creator support page, official teaser, and other credited sources are external links. Those services receive a request when you open them and apply their own privacy policies.
Advertising
No advertising is currently served by this site. If advertising is introduced, Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses and device information, and measure ad delivery. Any Google advertising implementation will use the exact publisher information assigned to this site and will be disclosed here before it is activated.
Personalized advertising will not be enabled for visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland unless an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform is active and the required consent has been collected. Visitors will be able to refuse or revisit advertising choices where required.
Retention and choices
Local theme and game values remain in your browser until you clear them. Hosting security logs and analytics data follow the retention controls of the relevant service provider. You may clear local site data, use browser tracking protection, or stop using the site.
